Job Title/Position : Charge Nurse -RN
Description/Requirements : Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the charge nurse is responsible for supervising nursing staff members who provide direct resident care, communicating with all health care providers and partners, coordinating and implementing nursing care as ordered by the physician and agreed to by the resident- and documenting those timely, accurately and comprehensively. Is responsible for the provision of nursing services within the scope of his/her license and in compliance with current standards of practice and corporate and facility policies/ procedures. following the plan of care, and insuring the overall health and well being of the resident.
Qualification : Current, active Iowa Nursing license, experience in long term care with knowledge and understanding of Federal and State nursing facility rules and regulations, including licensing, OSHA, CDC, and Public Safety. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language.

Supervisor/ team leader positions: This individual must be self-motivated to accomplish assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision and lead team members toward accomplishing common goals.

All positions:  Must be free from communicable diseases. Recommend immunizations be current in accordance to recommendations by CDC (unless contraindicated due to allergy), or natural immunity acquired by illness with specific disease.  Must pass criminal background and abuse registry checks and be eligible for unrestricted employment.
