Person Directed Care a Constant at Valley Vue Care Center
In addition to providing long-term care services, Valley Vue provides short-term rehab services where people can rehabilitate and return to their homes. Valley Vue employs the experienced licensed therapists for those who need physical, occupational and speech therapy.
The Person Directed Care philosophy is practiced at Valley Vue. Person Directed Care offers residents more choices in their day-to-day living, such as when they get up, eat, bathe, go to bed and attend activities. Valley Vue's dietary department offers food choices via menus and will gladly prepare favorite resident dishes, as well as incorporate their favorite recipes into the home menus. The activity department provides exciting and stimulating activities both in and outside of our home. Our themed meals, country breakfasts, trips in our van are just a few of our favorite things.
Consistent staffing, another aspect of Person Directed Care, ensures that residents are cared for by the same caregiver at least 85% of the time. This continuity of care ensures that residents feel safe and more secure as they receive care, caregivers are able to recognize even the smallest changes in the residents, and the residents and their caregivers develop very important and meaningful relationships.
Valley Vue's administrator holds Administrator Advisory Board meetings with residents to maintain face-to-face communication with the residents and encourages all to express their feelings about living at Valley Vue. During these meetings, all departments are reviewed with the residents to ensure that the residents are being treated with dignity and respect. Residents are encouraged to share their ideas to further enhance their living environment.
Valley Vue Care Center believes in empowering employees and make them feel appreciated and respected every day for their dedication to our residents. Some of the greatest changes at Valley Vue have been brought forth by our employees.

What's New
In 2009 a 4500 square foot addition to Valley Vue Care Center was completed. This addition included an activity room, a Hospice Suite, and 3 new double resident rooms with private bathrooms. Also placing a laundry room on the main floor makes staff laundry chores quicker, safer, and easier than its previous home in the basement. Several changes made in the original home include office space for the Director of Nurses, MDS/CP Coordinator, Food Service Supervisor, Activity Director, Social Services Designee/Human Resources; one for a conference room; one for hair drying/beauty shop, and one for med cart room. Our fenced courtyard area has a play area for young children while visiting at Valley Vue Care Center. This area also has a raised 'garden box' that our residents enjoy growing vegetables during the summer months or it can be used to sit, relax and enjoy the outdoors. Our Gazebo area in the front yard provides shade for residents and visitors to sit and visit.
