| At Morning Sun Care Center, our residents come first! We don't believe your life should be turned upside down just because you come to live with us. Our Person Directed Care means that residents get to make choices about how they live; they aren't expected to follow someone else's schedule. And our policy of Consistent Staffing means the same people will participate in residents’ care, day in and day out, just like family. |

What's NewNow Offering Behavior Intervention Programming
Morning Sun Care Center offers a behavior intervention program, which focuses on the mental, physical and spiritual health of our residents. This interdisciplinary approach has been shown to decrease both the length and number of hospital stays, medication usage, and improve overall health through increased socialization opportunities and quality of life.
A Relaxation Room is provided to reduce stress and anxiety levels that can come with a group living environment and are often complicated by medical conditions.
Anxiety and depression are often exacerbated by boredom and lack of engagement or social isolation. To help alleviate these behaviors, MSCC staff conducts frequent rounds to better anticipate needs and ensure residents have the opportunity to participate in enriching, therapeutic and meaningful activities. A diversion cart, used in these rounds, contains a variety of items to meet this goal.
Weekly therapy groups are held to give participants the opportunity to express and explore their feelings and gain life skills in a safe and caring environment. These therapy groups address a wide variety of issues related to the following topics:

Morning Sun Care Center strives to provide the best and most well-rounded care at all times.
Current Events
Morning Sun Care Center sponsors a Congregate Meal for anyone age 65 years and older or anyone disabled. The meal is held at the Morning Sun Community Building every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Cost is $5 per person. Transportation is available by calling 319-868-7751. 24-hr advance notice requested.
