Our beautifully appointed 87-resident center is located in a quiet residential area of southeast Mason City, half block south of Highway 122. It contains a new short term rehabilitation wing, a private paying Regency wing and two long term care neighborhoods.

Life at Heritage Care And Rehabilitation Center
We provide care to serve a variety of needs: respite care, short term rehabilitation, physical, occupational and speech therapy, long term resident centered care, and compassionate end of life care. Skilled and nursing facility levels of care are available.
Heritage Care and Rehabilitation Center, which is Medicaid and Medicare Certified, has been a respected and established part of the Mason City's health care continuum since 1973 when ABCM Corporation purchased the former 40 bed William-Charles Heritage Home. Heritage Care and Rehabilitation Center has enjoyed stability of ownership since that time and stability of management since 1975. Mason City is an exceptional regional healthcare hub, with many outstanding healthcare professionals and acute care facilities. At Heritage Care and Rehabilitation, over 100 staff members pride themselves in the provision of care in which kindness and respect are paramount.
Since 1973 Heritage has undergone two additions and several renovations and conversions of five neighborhoods to serve specific care needs. One of these conversions is our Regency Wing which is made up of 14 beds. With many of these private rooms are carpeted. private rooms a private dining room and beautiful lounge are also included in this area. Heritage offers a multitude of services to its residents. Below are some of the services we provide for those who stay with us for a short time or for those who call us home.

What's New
We would like to extend a warm welcome to Ruth Kellner, our new Director of Nursing Services. Ruth is originally from Nashua where she grew up on a family farm producing Harrington Sweet Corn. Ruth received her licensed Practical Nursing Degree from Hawkeye Tech and her Registered Nursing Degree from Iowa Central College. Ruth was previously employed in the Orthopedic Department at the Waverly Hospital. We are excited to have Ruth join our team at Heritage. She believes in an open-door policy so please stop in to meet her anytime!
