Concord Care Center is located in Garner, Iowa, a proud community located in North Iowa 12 miles west of Interstate 35 and the Avenue of the Saints. Garner is a "bedroom community" for the nearby communities of Mason City and Clear Lake. Garner has a long and distinguished history as a progressive and successful community. Originally a town of an incorporated population of 321, it now is home to nearly 3000 persons.

Concord Care Center has been providing health care services to the community since 1963. When entering our 66 bed facility you experience a homelike atmosphere from the furniture and comfortable surroundings to the top-quality nursing staff who provide Person Directed Care. A new approach in senior healthcare, Person Directed Care encourages individuals to make choices about the care and services they receive that are consistent with their life-long beliefs, habits, unique needs, and their preferences. Imagine getting up when you want to, deciding when to bathe, eat, or go to bed.
Consistent staffing, another aspect of Person Directed Care, ensures that residents are cared for by the same caregiver at least 85% of the time. Individuals feel safe and more secure as they receive care. Caregivers are able to recognize the smallest changes in a resident and the caregiver and resident are able to develop an important and meaningful relationship.

We strive to make each resident feel wanted, needed, and respected. We provide individualized care to each resident, attending to their health care needs. We pride ourselves on providing clean and comfortable surroundings. We encourage our residents to decorate their room with mementos from home. We also encourage visits from family and friends.

What's New
In order to accommodate the needs of individuals who come to Concord for short-term stays, we have remodeled some rooms to create rehab suites. Our beautiful rehab suites have been updated and offer you a warm feeling during a short stay at our care center no matter what services we are providing to you or your loved one. Rehab rooms include: a bed with proper bedding, nightstand, armoire, dresser, microwave, refrigerator, television and much more! Please come for a personal visit of our rehab suites. We'll be happy to talk with you about the services and amenities that our professional staff provides.
In the near future, we are planning to make some structural changes to Concord Therapy Center in an effort to better serve our customers. Your needs are important to us and it is our goal to make Concord Therapy Center the best place to receive inpatient and outpatient therapy services by our highly-trained therapy partners.
